Description
Lovi Lovi is a 77 m² residence conceived to integrate lightly with the land and take full advantage of its tropical setting. The project is elevated on stilts to adapt to the natural slope of the site and minimize intervention on the ground, allowing the house to rest more lightly on the landscape. The architecture relies on a lightweight structure, open spaces, and a transparent envelope that enhances visual connection with the outdoors, natural light, and cross ventilation. Natural wood brings warmth, texture, and a welcoming character that contrasts with the clean geometry and the lightness of the construction system.

Concept
Lovi Lovi is conceived as a light and open dwelling that rests on the site without imposing on it. The proposal seeks to create a calm experience close to nature, where architecture frames the landscape, light, and vegetation as an essential part of everyday life.
Construction system
The house is developed on stilts to respond to the slope and reduce earth movement. Its structure and enclosure are resolved with lightweight materials, allowing for a more efficient, clean, and context-appropriate construction in a tropical environment. This decision also reinforces the project’s sense of visual lightness and its respectful relationship with the site.
Strategies
- Elevation on stilts to adapt to the natural topography
- Use of lightweight materials for a more efficient construction
- Large openings for natural light and cross ventilation
- Generous roof for shade and climate protection
- Continuous relationship between interior, terrace, and landscape
Materiality
The proposal combines a clean and contemporary architectural base with the warmth of natural wood. This contrast creates an atmosphere that feels both welcoming and restrained, reinforcing the idea of a contemporary tropical architecture that is light and well integrated with its surroundings.
