Description

San Blas is a contemporary luxury residence located in the mountains of Perez Zeledon, Costa Rica, conceived as a solid, restrained, and highly precise architectural piece. The project was delivered entirely by Kreea, from the initial concept and architectural design through technical development and final construction. The house is defined by a composition of pure concrete volumes, large glass surfaces, and a double-height entrance that reinforces its monumental presence. Its siting takes advantage of the topography and mountain views, while integrated LED lighting emphasizes lines, proportions, and spatial depth. The result is a 325 m² home with a strong contemporary identity, designed to provide comfort, permanence, and a direct relationship with the landscape of Perez Zeledon.

Details

Concept

San Blas was conceived as a contemporary luxury home with a strong yet restrained architectural presence, able to engage the scale of the mountain landscape of Perez Zeledon without losing precision or sobriety.

Architectural composition

The home is resolved through a composition of pure volumes and clean proportions, with a double-height entrance, large openings, and a facade that combines contrast, depth, and a clearly contemporary reading.

Materiality and light

Concrete defines the proposal and gives it permanence, character, and a solid image. Integrated LED lighting emphasizes lines, junctions, and planes, reinforcing the geometric language of the house by day and by night.

Integrated delivery

Kreea delivered the project in full, from the initial design and architectural direction to technical development and construction. That complete control made it possible to preserve coherence between vision, detail, and execution.

Strategies

  • Contemporary volumes with a clear and solid reading
  • Siting oriented toward mountain views
  • Concrete materiality for presence and durability
  • Large openings for daylight and connection to the landscape
  • Integrated LED lighting to emphasize lines and depth
